NEW SUSTAINABLE HEALTHCARE BRAND DAPPR LAUNCHES COLORFUL BAMBOO PLASTERS

Inspired by their own experiences as fathers, Jochum Damstra and Amar Thomas, two creative entrepreneurs and friends, are launching an innovative healthcare brand called Dappr this month. Their goal? To conquer the Netherlands with sustainable and colorful products. Starting with distinctive bandages that are not only eco-friendly but also encourage children and adults to stay active and optimistic, despite minor setbacks.

At a time when sustainability is paramount, Dappr offers a fresh perspective on first aid. Dappr plasters are completely plastic-free, made from bamboo, and suitable for people who normally can't wear plasters due to sensitive skin. Sold in reusable cans with refills available, the brand encourages reuse and offers an alternative to single-use packaging. "You can later use the can as a jewelry box or for hair ties," says Amar Thomas. "Every small step towards reducing waste is important." In addition to their focus on sustainability, Damstra and Thomas want to encourage physical activity. "In today's digital world, we see both children and adults spending more time in front of screens, which often leads to a less active lifestyle. With Dappr, we want to buck this trend and encourage the mindset of falling, getting back up, and carrying on," explains Jochum Damstra.

Dappr is unique not only in its sustainability but also in its design: designed by Brandnew. The bandages are available in colorful and eye-catching themes like Dino, Savannah, Stripes, Tie Dye, and Unicorn. "First aid becomes a positive experience with our bandages. They provide physical and emotional support and make it fun for everyone," adds Thomas.

The patches will be available through the Dappr webshop and bol.com starting June 1st. This is just the beginning of Dappr's journey to develop a range of products that make healthcare more enjoyable and user-friendly.

For everyone who can't be stopped. Bring it on!
